Step One – this is the same for any online space except when adding a Video

shortcut – Apple + c on a mac)

Start by editing your page. Then click on ‘Insert Plugin’ on the toolbar and then
choose ‘Video’ and click on ‘YouTube

Step Three – PB Wiki
Paste the code (control + v OR apple + v) you copied from step one into the white
box and click on next and then click ‘Finish’. When you see the preview, click on
finish again to add to your page. It will look like a green box with YouTube
written in the middle. Save your wiki page and it will be added. People will just
need to click the play button to watch.
Wikispaces Option
Step Two
Click ‘Edit this Page’ to make changes to the page and then click on the TV icon
that appears in the toolbar.
Step Three
While there is a Video option, it will be faster for you to click on the ‘Other HTML’
option (less clicks needed). Paste in the code you copied in Step One (control + v
OR apple + v) to the white box at the bottom of the pop up window and click
‘Save’. It will appear appear as a grey box on your page with ‘Media’ written in
the middle. Save the wiki page and the video is embedded. All people need to do

Blogspot within Blog Post Option
Step Two
When you are creating a new post, click on the ‘Edit Html’ tab at the place where
you want the video to go. Do not use the Video icon on the toolbar as you use this
to upload your own video.
Step Three
Paste the embed code you copied in Step One (control + v OR apple + v) into the
white space where you want the video to go. When you click ‘Publish this Post’
and the look at your new blog entry. The video will be embedded and people can
click the play button to watch it.
Blogspot Html Gadget in the Sidebar Option
Step Two
The sidebar is a place where you can have elements that you always want people
to be able to see. These stay visible to the side of your blog posts at all times
unless you change them. YouTube videos can also be added to this area. This is
the option you would use to add a specific video though it will be rather
squashed in the side. You may be better off exploring the Video Bar option
(below) though this will not give you a specific video.
You first need to go into the ‘Layout’ tab and click on ‘Add a Gadget’.
Step Three
Scroll down the list of gadgets until you find the one called ‘Html/ JavaScript’ and
click the plus sign in the top right corner. Paste the embed code you copied in
Step One into the big white box.
Step Four
You will need an extra step here as the size of the video will be too big for the
sidebar if you click save now. What you need to do is look at the embed code that
you just pasted into the box and find the width and height settings. They will be
in there twice. You need to change the numbers to change the size – I halved the
numbers (see below) and this seemed about right for my blog – you may need to
play around to get this exactly right for your layout. Click ‘Save’ when you have
adjusted the numbers. It will then be on your blog.

Blogspot Video Bar Gadget in the Sidebar Option
Step One – Within a Blogspot Video Bar Gadget in the Sidebar
A video bar lets you add a selection of videos to the sidebar based on specific
topics or a YouTube channel. When clicked on, the videos play in a pop‐up
window and are therefore well suited to the small space. To add this, you first
need to go into the ‘Layout’ tab and
click on ‘Add a Gadget’.
Step Two Within a Blogspot Video Bar Gadget in the Sidebar
Scroll down the list of gadgets until you find the one called ‘Video Bar’ and click
the plus sign in the top right corner.
You will not be able to add a specific video here but you can choose a channel or
use keyworks for YouTube to find videos on a specific topic. Click ‘Save’ when
you are done
Note: If you sign up to YouTube as a user, you can have your own channel that you
could choose where all the videos you have uploaded, all your subscriptions to
other channels and all your favourite videos are stored. When you see it in the
blog, it will show the videos in the sidebar as image previews. When you click on
the preview, it opens a pop‐up box containing the video for people to watch.
